Cookie Policy
How shyamafoods.com uses cookies, and how you stay in control of them.
Effective date: 27 July 2026
This policy explains the cookies used on shyamafoods.com and how you can manage your preferences at any time.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Shyama Foods (“Shyama Foods”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.shyamafoods.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
By using the Site you agree that we can place strictly necessary cookies as described below. Any other cookie only runs after you give your consent through the cookie banner or the preferences panel, which you can reopen at any time using the link in the site footer.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories. Only “Necessary” cookies are set automatically; every other category is switched off until you opt in.
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | shyama_cookie_consent, shyama_session | Remember your cookie preferences and keep the admin panel login secure. Set for every visitor. | Up to 180 days (consent), session/7 days (admin login) |
| Functional | Social share and embed cookies (set only if used) | Remember choices and enable extra page features. | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics) | Understand how visitors use the site, e.g. pages viewed and time on site, in aggregate and anonymised form. | Up to 24 months |
| Advertisement | Not currently set | Reserved for future use, such as measuring the performance of Shyama Foods marketing campaigns. | N/A |
4. How we obtain your consent
When you first visit the Site, a consent banner asks you to Accept All, Reject All, or Customise your choices by category. Consent collected this way is:
- Free and given by a clear, affirmative action;
- Specific to each cookie category;
- Informed, with a link to this policy and our Privacy Policy; and
- Freely revocable at any time.
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie (shyama_cookie_consent) for up to 180 days, or until you change your preferences, so we don't need to ask again on every visit.
5. Managing or withdrawing your consent
You can review or change your preferences at any time by selecting in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings, though doing so may affect how parts of the Site work. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
6. Third-party cookies
When you consent to Analytics cookies, Google Analytics places cookies to help us understand site usage. Google may process this data under its own privacy terms; see Google's Privacy Policy for details. We do not currently run any advertising pixels; the Advertisement category exists so we can ask for your consent first if that changes in the future.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance about how your data is processed. These rights, and how to exercise them, are set out in full in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. Material changes will reset your stored consent so you are asked again. The “Effective date” at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
9. Contact us
For questions about this Cookie Policy or your cookie preferences, contact us at info@shyamafoods.com or +91 98997-63732.
